Today was a beautiful fall day. Evidently everybody else thought the same thing and played hookie from church!
- We had a fair crowd today, with several guests back with us again.
- Today is All Saints Sunday
- We kicked off our “The Time Is Now” stewardship campaign
- My message today was based on Revelation 7:9-17, Something Bigger than We Are
- I talked about the rich heritage that we have received, and the vision of that faithful band of believers who started our church 89 years ago
- They had a vision to serve the community and reach the lost.
- The church may have meandered away from that in the past, but that vision has not changed.
- A vision from God leads to action for God.
- We’ve got to keep listening because God is still speaking. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep telling until there is no one left to tell. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep surrendering, because the Christian life is not a one-time event. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep loving until all have come to know the love of Christ. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep committing, because God isn’t through with us yet. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep going until there is no place on earth left that has not heard. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep serving until every need has been met in Jesus’ name. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep giving until the vision is fulfilled. The time is now!
- We’ve got to keep pressing on until we reach the goal! The time is now!
- I was beat when I got done. Came home, skipped lunch, and took a three hour nap.
- I had a flu shot yesterday, so I think that was part of why I was feeling droopy.
- Many of our folks are concerned about the election.
- I would encourage you to join Carlos Whittaker online tomorrow night at 9:30 p.m. (EST) for Praying Backward. Ya gotta check it out!

Thanks for the love…
