Reflections on today:

• Attendance was good–lots of family members visiting from out of town today for Mother’s Day
• My message was about Pentecost, which was also celebrated today……we talked about dreaming again
• I used the term “I dream of a Pentecost Church” today…just about had a deacon fall out with heart failure because he thought I said “PentecostAL Church.”  Uh….there’s a BIG difference there…I don’t like snakes and I don’t have enough hair for that!
• I came home totally drained.
• My mother-in-law fixed lunch for us all today….comfort foods: ham, pinto beans, sour kraut, corn bread and sweet tea. Uh Um Good!
• Just about fell asleep in my plate, so I took a LONG nap. Naps on rainy Sunday afternoons are good things.
• We have a wonderful church. They reached out to us in so many wonderful ways this past week with the death of Catherine’s Grandmother.
• Next Sunday afternoon we are gathering for Beginning to Dream Again. Basically, everyone’s invited to join in the conversation, prayer, and dreaming about the future.
• Excited about a workshop on High Performance Leadership that Norfolk Area Baptist Association is holding on Tuesday.
• Even more excited because Dave Daniels is doing a follow-on workshop on The Digital Church immediately following. I have on good authority that this blogger will be there, too.
• Looking forward to WhiteBoard in two weeks. There’s still time to register!
• Very excited about the Blogger’s Lunch that Dave, Terrace and Clayton Bell are putting together. Should be an awesome time!
